Founded in 1976, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of minorities in all aviation and aerospace careers.
OBAP members encourage diversity in the industry by supporting aspiring aviation professionals through mentoring, scholarships, training and youth-focused education programs through Project Aerospace.

CAROL GLENN GENTRY ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Carol Glenn Gentry Achievement Scholarship was established to provide qualifying candidates with the financial support needed to continue education towards careers in aviation. The late Carol Glenn Gentry, who first began supporting OBAP following college graduation in 1985, led the management and oversight of the organization’s initiatives to increase minority participation in aerospace.
