Welcome and thank you for visiting the OBAP Aviation Career Education Academy (ACE) page. OBAP ACE Academies are co-sponsored with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other select organizations or institutions.

Our academies include many interesting educational activities and field trips. During an OBAP academy, students can expect to participate in activities that feature STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) components. We also include trips to aviation related facilities and receive tours of areas the general public normally never see. Also, our academies offer students the opportunity to perform actual flights in a general aviation aircraft. Traditionally, these flights are easily the highlights of a student's experience.

In 2012 we are projecting academies in approximately twenty locations throughout the United States, including two in the Caribbean. Our academies can fill up quickly so I encourage you to complete the application to ensure you are included. Due to varying local policies some application requirements may differ. However, each process starts with the application link on this website.

As aerospace professionals we know, first hand, the rewards from careers and life paths in aviation. Therefore, our volunteers strive to enlighten and encourage youth in our numerous communities while your options are open. So please check our schedule to find the location nearest you. Each location has a dedicated link that provides specific details for that academy which includes: the location, dates, activities, staff, email contact information for the director, requirements and deadlines. Explore the links and feel free to contact the local director if you have further questions.

I believe our ACE Academies offer an excellent gateway to introduce you to the wonders of aviation. Each trained director has tailored a program, unique for their location, while adhering to our overall standards. I am sure that when you show up with a willing and winning attitude you will be rewarded with an experience that far exceeds your classmates. You will also walk away with many new friends and acquaintances who share a similar interest.
