PPDP - Professional Pilot Development Program
Contributions to this program of any type are always welcome. We encourage you to consult with us to explore how your organization can assist the PPDP in increasing diversity in the air transportation industry.

At some point, whether it is the first fight of an individual as a pilot or many years and hours of flight time down the road, some aviators elect to go professional. OBAP can play a significant role in assisting pilots and other aviation professionals in making the right decisions from selecting training institutions to attaining the wisdom and skills necessary to accelerate the development of desired aviator skills. OBAP offers its entry level members the footprint that our senior members have validated as being effective in assisting aviators in accomplishing their goals of professional pilot.

Although our principal mission is focused on airline pilots, we are expanding our network so as to provide the critical counseling and mentoring needs necessary to facilitate the success of our members that are considering aviation career choices other than being a pilot.

Our organization strongly believe we must identify individuals early, to afford them every opportunity to fulfill their dreams of becoming a part of the aviation industry.(Cradle to Career)

The Professional Pilot Development Program (PPDP) is currently divided into four categories. They are:

Mentorship Program
Fellowship Program
Type Rating Scholarship Program
Job Placement Program
