Greetings one and all,
Please allow me to convey once again my sincere thanks and appreciation to each of you for your participation in our OBAP Midwest Regional Meeting this past weekend. We were fortunate to fellowship and spread the word about aviation opportunities not only our youth, but quite possibly, local strategic partners. The Whitney M. Scholars (sponsored by The Lincoln Foundation) and the Chestnut Street YMCA Black Achievers programs are two of the premiere year-round programs in our area that encourage our youth to expand the realm of their minds in the pursuit of their dreams.
It is always uplifting to me to participate in such events and generate more awareness about what OBAP is doing on the local, regional and national level. Let's keep our momentum going and I look forward to our next regional meeting.
Respectfully,
Raymond Robinson

OBAP Midwest Regional Meeting
Louisville, Kentucky
November 16-17, 2007
Hi Fellow OBAP Members and Volunteers,
In an effort to share our experiences throughout our
region and nationally, we would like to invite you to attend our OBAP Midwest
Regional Meeting to be held in Louisville, Kentucky from November 16-17, 2007.
The Louisville Marriott Downtown will serve as our meeting location. For those
of you able to arrive on Friday, November 16, we will have a social gathering at
the 4th Street Live area of downtown. On Saturday morning, we will visit two
area youth programs (Chestnut Street YMCA Black Achievers and Whitney M. Young
Scholars) tailored to enriching the lives of local area middle and high
schoolers. For those OBAPers in attendance, this event will afford you an
opportunity to share your experiences with our youth.
You may call the Louisville Marriott Downtown at
502-627-5045 to make your room reservation under the Organization of Black
Airline Pilots block reservation. Rooms are $119+tax per night and reservations
need to be made by Friday, November 2, 2007. We will arrange ground
transportation to and from the airport based on your travel itinerary, since the
hotel does not have an airport shuttle.
We hope that your schedule will allow you to attend
both days for maximum exposure for our organizational outreach. If you have any
questions, please send an email or give us a call. Thank you for your support
and we look forward to seeing you.
