We need your help to reach our goal, because we believe one of the most important investments we can make, is in the future of the millions of youth who desire to have a positive and productive future. We ask you to seriously consider making a tax deductible donation to support our youth programs.
Our mission is to ensure there is a diverse pipeline of future aerospace professionals. Even in the face of a downwardly spiraling economy, we have continued to increase our reach. This is important, because as positive economic change occurs, our youth are not left behind. This "downtime" will allow them to be prepared to take advantage of the opportunities. The good news is that the industry forecast has not changed and the outlook for the coming year and beyond remains exciting with exploding growth linked to the need for new aerospace professionals. It includes: pilots, air traffic controllers, mechanics, and beyond. The opportunities projected are a result of a retiring work force, new technologies and air transportation needs globally.
Young people often seek to become what they see. Therefore, our programs are critical channels for them to gain awareness, training and mentoring in preparation for future careers. During 2011, we were able to reach thousands of students using our umbrella program approach "Project Aerospace". Project Aerospace encompasses all of our programs and allows participants to build upon previous exposure, knowledge and skills for optimum outcomes.
As a result of generous investments from our members and supporters, our Aerospace Professional in Schools program volunteers were kept busy with hundreds of school visits and career day activities, we successfully delivered a record 23 Aviation Career Education Academies (previously referred to as ACE Camps, 2 Solo Flight Academies and one Private Pilot Academy. We received more than 3,000 applications from across the nation for a far smaller number of available positions. Our successes were highlighted on national news programs and in various local newspapers.

Your investment will help to sustain the training and development from our volunteers, all experienced aerospace professionals, generously donating their time.
