First Officer Goliath Demisie

Goliath Demisie was born Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he was initially introduced the exciting world of aviation.  At the age of 10, he moved from Addis Ababa to Alexandria, Virginia.  In 2001, he graduated from the historic TC Williams High School.  Following his high school graduation, Goliath attended Averett University in Danville, Virginia where he attained all of his primary licenses as well as all of his flight instructor certificates.  In addition to earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Management, Goliath has also earned a Master of Business Administration as well as a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. 

In July 2007, Goliath transitioned from being a Flight Instructor when he was hired at ExpressJet Airlines on the Embraer 145 aircraft.  Soon after being hired at ExpressJet Airlines, Goliath received his commission in The United States Coast Guard.  He currently balances an airline career as well as a military career. Goliath is passionate about promoting the Coast Guard’s diversity imitative as well as exposing young men and women to the exciting careers in the aerospace industry.
