Emmanuel's first Navy tour was in the Lockheed P-3C Orion at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. His second tour was Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Morehouse College Naval ROTC, Atlanta, GA where he taught Naval History and Seapower. Additionally he was assigned as the Aviation Indoctrination Officer, instructing swim and Navy water survival to Midshipman and Marines. He also instructed Naval Weapons Systems at NS Newport Rhode Island during this instructor tour. After completing his tour at Morehouse College NROTC he completed his Naval Service commitment. Emmanuel applied for flight service in the U.S. Air Force reserve component of the Air National Guard. He flew the KC-135R Stratotanker (Boeing 707) from June 2000 to October 2007. Having served 23 years in the United States Military service and he retired in May 2010.
Manny is employed with United Parcel Service (UPS) as a First Officer (Copilot), qualified in the Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft. He is currently serving as the Southeast Region VP for OBAP and will act as the OBAP Atlanta Academy Director for Summer 2012.
Emmanuel's love and passion for flying is only surpassed by his love for his family. He and his wife (Trina) reside in the Atlanta area with their children Austin and Alexis.
