Finding the right job significantly easier by insuring that our members are targeting the right market for their level of qualifications. More importantly, however, is that we continue to guide them toward needed skills so that they can maximize their marketability. Although we call upon the experience of many who have gone that path before, we recognize that each individual's career progression has its own set of unique attributes. Thus individual counseling is available.

Job Placement Service is a very dynamic portion of the APDP. This can include anything that we have deemed as effective in having an employer open up a door to potential employment to our members. For example, some air carriers actually interview potential employees at our annual convention. Other employers may provide us with a job posting. We also direct our pilots to job fairs that feature companies hiring pilots.

Particularly during these times of economic slumps in the aviation industry, with hundreds of our very skills members on furlough, trying to find gainful employment at any level within the aviation industry as a pilot is a daunting task. OBAP members are still being successful each week finding gainful employment in the aviation industry that is appropriate to their experience level. But many more of our very skilled pilots remain on furlough. However, we stress to our members that these tough times will not last forever…but tough people do!
