United Parcel Service 757 Type Rating Scholarship
The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Inc takes great pleasure in announcing the 2010 757 Type Rating Scholarship sponsored by UPS.

Background
UPS operates one of the world's largest airlines, using more than 600 aircraft to serve more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. The company's extensive air network includes international air hubs in Cologne, Shanghai, Miami, an intra-Asia hub in the Philippines, and UPS Worldport® in Louisville, Kentucky. The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Inc., is proud to announce the 757 Type Rating Scholarship sponsored by UPS for two individuals who meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum Requirements
Applicant must be a dues-current member of OBAP.
Have a minimum of 1500 hours total fixedwing pilot time.
Have a minimum of 1000 hours pilot in command (PIC) in fixed wing jet and/or fixed wing multi-engine turboprop.*
Applicant must submit a current resume.
Applicant must submit two (2) "Letters of Recommendation."
Applicant must currently have a FAA First Class Medical Certificate, and have authorization to study in the United States.
Submit a one page essay stating your interest in the Type Rating Scholarship.
*Pilot in Command, per FAR 1.1, means the person who has final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight; has been designated as the pilot in command before or during the flight; holds the appropriate category, class and type rating, if appropriate for the conduct of the flight.
UPS reserves the right to amend, suspend, rescind or terminate the scholarship for any reason after it has been awarded.
